A different perspective

It continues to amaze me that the economy continues to decline each and every day. Although reports are being generated that say that the economy is improving, the majority of the people are not feeling or seeing this improvement. Prices are getting higher and higher there seems to be no limits as to how much stores,hospitals,doctors,insurances and grocery stores can charge for a given item or service. Job wages are not rising to accommodate the price increases that everyone is facing. Jobs are still being eliminated left and right and the few people that remain on the job are being forced to do the job of 4-5 people each and everyday which causes health concerns,anger,loss of sleep and feelings of hopelessness.

The people that are looking for a job are finding it hard to find anything in their field or if they do find something there are 1,000 or more applicants for one job, the starting salary is low with huge job and huge hour demands. Severe depression claims the lives of many which results in increased doctor visits, prescription drug abuse, increased substance abuse, increased suicides, and a constant painful and downcast life. I sincerely do not believe that this is the way that God intended for life to be for this world. I believe that God is speaking through the lack that this world continues to see and that God is speaking through the doors that He continues to close and the doors that He opens. People are being revealed for who they really are, systems are being revealed for what they really are, and structures are being revealed for what they really are. Answers are needed like never before, God's throne room is being bombarded with prayer requests, prayer supplications, and prayer petitions. With all that is going wrong in the world today and with all of the requests that God is receiving is there any wonder why God is not moved to change today's economy? Church attendance is down, Church and ministry donations are down, Christian unity does not really exist, and real and true Christian fellowship is a thing of the past.

This is not God's design for this world. God speaks through allowing you to experience lack the same way He speaks through blessings. Deuteronomy 28 gives you a glimpse of God's thought process on one of His ways of blessing and cursing http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Deuteronomy+28&vers... if you are reading my blog today and are finding yourself in a hard place, I encourage you to read Deuteronomy 28,and pray and ask God to show you why you are still in a hard place and ask Him to give you specific instructions on what you need to do to move from where you are to where God wants you to be. Although today's economy is not my primary concern, it amazes me that the economy has continued to decline for this long because the world still has not gotten God's message!

Suggested prayer for you;

Holy God, creator of Heaven and earth, into your hands I commit my spirit and my mind, create in me a pure heart and a clean mind, give me a heart that wants to worship you and praise you and walk in the way that you created me. Empower me to rise above the current limitations that bind me, and help me to walk away from what you know is not your highest and best for me. Empower me to do my part to help restore today's economy. Empower me to do my part in your church and in your work. Forgive me for my previous shortcomings and help me live the life you created for me to live in Jesus Name I ask and pray!
